8 week accomplishments

In the last couple of weeks, Charles has started smiling one of those big, open-mouthed smiles.  So cute!  Last week, he gave William and Mommy a breathy laugh, and then Saturday, he gave Mema a full voiced laugh.  Love it!  He also started "talking" in baby gurgles.  Such a sweetheart!  I wonder what he was saying?  Something good because he was happy!
I've got a little dimple on my right cheek!

Of course he won't perform for the camera, but he is still cute!

Charles is loved by William

When Charles and I got to church yesterday, William came running up to us to give us hugs.  When we got to our pew, Daddy showed us William's art from Sunday School.  William had been asked to draw a picture of people he loves, and he drew Charles.

roll over, beethoven

Look at me!  I'm on my back, and do you know how I got here?  I rolled over for the first time last night.  Watch me!

weekend of fun

I find myself taking Charles' pictures when he is so peacefully asleep to help me remember my cuddly baby when he is so small and can fit in his tiny little shoes.  He is already growing fast!  He is outgrowing his newborn footy pajamas, and he is stretching all the way across his play yard.

Saturday, we spent a lovely afternoon at the zoo.  Charles sleeps all the way through.

Sunday we were invited to a Halloween party for the children.  Charles wore his cowboy costume.  So cute!

Big brother William is a pirate.

So big!

Weekend fun!

We took Charles for his first visit to one of our favorite places, Johnson's Farm.  We were going to go on a hayride to the pumpkin patch.  With all the rainy weather the last few weeks, it seemed everyone came out for the Columbus Day weekend.  It was packed!  We have never seen it this way.  We did not do the hayride because the line was terribly long.  We made do, though, and found other photo ops.  We'll go back in November for popcorn picking.

Picture time!

The end of the rainbow is in our backyard--the treasure is all the blessings bestowed upon this family.

Charles still sleeps most of the day, but he is gradually keeping those eyes open for longer periods and taking in the world.  He is also learning to defend himself against his big brother who wants to play with him so badly, he gets too close to Charles' face.  Charles has already learned to push him back.
