Crazy baby!

Charles has no fear! This morning, the first day of spring break for William and Daddy, the boys and I slept in and stayed in our pajamas all morning. We then lounged and cuddled on the sofa--but not Charles! He picked my foot up off the ground to cross my legs so my ankle stuck out, and then he dove over my ankle with his arms outstretched to prop himself up before flipping over in a somersault! Over and over he did his flips with me swapping legs when one got sore. He just laughed and laughed as Daddy and I looked on in amazement at his crazy antics.

Bunny fright

Last Saturday, we went to the farm to see the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs. First, we were surprised by the snow that fell during our hayride and hunt, but we were also surprised by how scared Charles was of the Easter Bunny. He clung tightly to Daddy and me and actually squealed in fright. Our only pictures had him sitting on the steps leading up to the bunny, but he would not go near him.

Today, we had our Lenten retreat and Easter Celebration at church. When the Easter Bunny came in, Charles caught a glimpse and started squealing again! We had to leave the room.

Leprechaun party

Since William did not have preschool today, we had friends come over to play. There were two other little boys about Charles' size, but Charles kept disappearing from the room--he was playing with the big kids because he, of course, is actually four like his brother. He had the most fun eating all the "gold" (nilla wafers) from the bowl at the bottom of the fruit rainbow. Then this afternoon he plowed through the donut holes that were left behind. He and his stuffed little belly should sleep well tonight.

Seussical

Daddy and I took Charles and William to see Seussical the Musical at a local high school. The production was amazing! They had an orchestra pit, and the students were awesome! Not what you would think of high school. I wish we did a major musical like this in high school. Anyway, this was Charles' first live performance, and he loved it! Ok, there were times when he got a little antsy in my lap, but swapping him to Daddy's lap fixed that. He was so enthralled with the show that he started singing along! What a great experience!
